My career in law began in corporate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC, aka Startups/ VC) at renowned international firms including Covington and Burling LLP and K&L Gates LLP, and continued as I led the legal department of a Series E tech company in Silicon Valley, celebrated by Time’s 100 Most Influential Companies.

While my professional path could have taken me to the public offering of a private company—a common goal for corporate attorneys—God had a different plan for me. My father’s sudden passing in 2022 without an estate plan changed everything. As a business owner, his lack of planning left our family grappling with significant losses and unresolved conflicts, a profound challenge that deeply affected us all.

Moved by this experience and guided by my faith, I founded Roots and Wings Legal to ensure that no other family would have to endure what we went through. Our firm blends my corporate law expertise with a mission-driven approach to provide robust legal solutions. I established this firm in honor of my father and to glorify God, ensuring that the hardships we faced aren’t in vain.
